I recently started a 100% travel job and was needing something to play with so I purchased a GL.iNet Slate to use with connecting to pubic hotspots. I have setup an OpenVPN connection to ProtonVPN servers and a WireGuard connection to my Homelab running on a Proxmox container.
Setup on both took a moment to understand what values were need where.
The GL.iNet Slate will run 4 hours on half a 10,000 mAh battery. I like the idea of a VPN to my home network and will do further testing on its real time usage.
